ABOUT ME

Velva & Co. was born in my heart, ya know me Clara Thompson. Ok its weird to talk about myself because what this company is , is 1!000% me(not a typo I'm just extra) but created for you. It was created around a passion for the beauty industry and grounded by the traditions of my family. The name was my grandmothers middle name because she had a way of making everyone feel like family and try to live that way, but in my own way.

 

 I create the experience of a lifetime with every service I gives! Yes (gives wasn't a typo) I'm corky and like to laugh, dance, and even cry with my clients!  I strive to endlessly pursue education about all aspects of my field because it satisfices my adhd brain. It also helps me curate a completely bespoke service experience through a combo of logic and science. Knowledge is power right?!

I was born and Raised on a Farm in Hartly, DE grew up showing cows, going to 4-H camp, cheering on friday nights, and doing farm chores before homework. I then attended Paul Mitchell the school Delaware and my world cracked open a little bit wider!. My life is an eclectic collections of experience that has created a unique outlook on my career! I completed both my Cosmetology program and instructors program! I am a MAC cosmetics certified artist and educated in mutliple hair lines and skincare lines!
